The next Pokémon TCG special set has officially been announced — and it’s a game-changer. Scarlet & Violet – Black Bolt and White Flare will be the first dual set release in the English-language Pokémon Trading Card Game, bringing a fresh format to collectors and players. Initial wave set to release on July 18, 2025, with additional products dropping through at least August.

🧩 First-Ever Dual Set for English Pokémon TCG
For the first time in Pokémon TCG history, the English sets will mirror the Japanese dual set format. Black Bolt and White Flare are two connected but separate sets that will launch simultaneously — a format that fans have only seen in Japan until now.
This also marks the first time ever that both the English and Japanese versions of a Pokémon set will share the same name, creating a unified experience for collectors worldwide.
🧃 No Booster Boxes or Loose Packs
Like other special sets such as Crown Zenith, Pokémon 151, and Celebrations, the new Black Bolt and White Flare sets won’t be sold in standalone booster boxes or individual booster packs. Instead, cards from these sets will be available only through special TCG products, which include:
